A teacher injects an arbritary ‘rule’ for discrimination for a class of third-graders: “blue eyes are superior to brown eyes” to let the kids experience in first hand what racism felt like.
“I watched what can be marvelous, cooperative, wonderful, thoughtful children turn into nasty, vicious, discriminating little third-graders, in the space of 15 minutes.”

Its sad that children see colors (especially black)frightening. I know when I was little I was scared of black people because I never seen them before and I thought that all people were white. The learned stuff from adults, when I asked them about black people they would called them nigger, spearchuckers, jungle bunnies, porch monkey, etc… This is a learned behavior in childhood from the adults we looked up to. Then prejudice goes on. We need to find a better way to change this prejudice.
